Rachel is youthful, with entire bodice made up of smocking, but also graceful in the long, flowy skirt. The combination is fantastic! Great for a baby Easter dress or other special occasion. Small puffed doll sleeves that gather at the hem. Rounded peter pan collar, edged with picot. Bodice designed with beautiful smocking and embroidery.
Rachel’s long skirt features a simple, hand embroidered flower design and a wide hem. Matching ruffle bonnet gathers with smocking. Hand embroidery over smocking and picot on hem of bonnet. Everything comes together in a very beautiful look.
Rachel dress is perfect as a baby Easter dress or any special occasion such as weddings and keepsake photos. Dress made of 100% cotton and measures 32 inches in length. Includes the matching bonnet and attached slip. Shipped with padded plastic hanger and poly bag.

Smocking is an ornamental pattern on a garment created by gathering a section of the material into tight pleats and holding them together with parallel stitches. Not only does this create a beautiful design, but the material also “gives” or stretches as needed. This allows the dress to fit snug and still be comfortable. What is unique about our Rachel dress is how its bodice is entirely made up of smocking and designed with embroidery, while the waist of the dress transitions beautifully from design to flowy skirt.
A picot is a small loop (or series of small loops) of twisted thread in embroidery, decorating the border of the fabric. Design of Rachel dress includes picot around edge of its peter pan collar as well as the hem of matching bonnet.
